The land was prepared for agricultural use in the 1950s and 1960s and at that time large amounts of earth and rock were bulldozed into large embankments. This action altered the surface of the surroundings and eradicated any evidence of ancient activity. 
Worn potsherds were found in low areas near Nahal ‘Ayyun, presumably evidence of their having been swept there from adjacent sites. No ancient remains were identified in the surveyed area.
