During May 2011, a survey was conducted in the area of the Bedouin settlement Bir Hadaj, c. 2 km south of Qibbuz Revivim (License No. S-272/2011; map ref. 17292–355/54750–820), prior to establishing an industrial zone. The survey, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the Abu Basma Regional Council, was performed by Y. Haimi (field photography), with the assistance of S. Gal (GPS).
The survey was carried out on foot just south of the Nahal Revivim channel, in a region where Bedouins settled and put up tents and temporary structures. No ancient remains were documented in the survey area. Nearby, east of the survey area, is the declared antiquities site of Nahal Revivim, where rock-hewn cave dwellings dating to the Byzantine period were documented.
