During January 2011, a trial excavation was conducted on Yefe Nof Street in ‘Atlit (Permit No. A-6109; map ref. 19504–8/73381–5), following the discovery of antiquities during preliminary examinations. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the Hochman family, was directed by D. Kirzner (field photography), with the assistance of M. Kahan (surveying).
One square was opened; two natural depressions were exposed in a kurkar surface that sloped south (L101; Figs. 1, 2). A few worn potsherds that could not be dated were discovered in the fill overlying the bedrock.
