During November 2010, a trial excavation was conducted at Er-Rama in the Galilee (Permit No. A-6045; map ref. 234490–2/760082–90), prior to construction. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by F. Hana, was directed by E. Amos (surveying, drafting and field photography), with the assistance of Y. Ya‘aqobi (administration) and M. Hartal (guidance).
Building remains and installations from the Roman period and building remains from the Byzantine period had previously been exposed nearby (
HA 44:7 [Hebrew]; 113:10*;
HA-ESI 121).
