Thirty-four sites (2–35; Fig. 1) were surveyed, including cairns, enclosures and walls, as well as the remains of modern buildings that belong to the village of Farfur. In addition, a large number of farming terrace retaining walls (not mapped), which are probably modern, were identified in the survey area.

Cairns. Thirty-six cairns (Table 1) were surveyed. Some of the cairns are located in leveled areas, next to small plots that could be cultivated, and others are scattered on the gentle slopes next to bedrock surfaces. Five of the cairns are elongated (23–25, 28, 30; length 8–45 m, width c. 5 m) and probably represent the remains of walls or buildings. The rest of the surveyed cairns are circular (Fig. 2); some of them probably cover burial cells, similar to the dolmens discovered at the site (HA-ESI 120). Other cairns—including some eleven piles of stone at Sites 10 and 19—are just stone clearance heaps. The cairns join the dolmen fields and the numerous cairns scattered throughout the southern Golan Heights.

Enclosures (14, 15; Fig. 3). Two adjacent rectangular enclosures with rounded corners (14 – 448 sq m; 15 – 325 sq m) are located on a hilltop in the western part of the Farfur village, next to the stream channel; each enclosure is surrounded by a built wall (width 2.0–2.2 m). It was not possible to determine the date of the enclosures, due to the thick vegetation and modern construction.

Walls (20–22). The tops of several walls, built of two rows of fieldstones, were observed between the farming terraces; these are probably ancient remains. Wall 20 (width 2 m) most likely served as a foundation wall; Wall 21 (width c. 2 m) curves and forms an enclosure that is open on the south; Wall 22 (width c. 2.3 m; Fig. 4) has survived two–three courses high. The date of the walls could not be determined due to the thick vegetation.

Walls and Remains of Modern Buildings (11, 12, 31). The walls were built of two rows of fieldstones and coarsely worked stones (average width 0.8 m). Wall 11 was preserved four courses high (Fig. 5). The building remains at Site 12 (10×20 m) probably belong to several structures. The tops of several walls are noted at Site 31, as well as piles of stones whose stone dressing appears to be modern.
